The Maindee Festival Association was formed in 1997 to promote and celebrate the diversity of the people who live and work in the Maindee area of Newport, South Wales. Come and join our Wizard and Fairies to help support this wonderful cause. Maindee Festival, held in July, and use arts and environmental activities to bring together people of different ethnicity and cultural background, age, abilities, geographical locations and faith communities. It encourages people from all cultures and communities to get involved in the Association. The aim is to build bridges between different communities to celebrate the rich cultural diversity of Newport and to support the economic, social and environmental regeneration of Maindee.

Spring has well and truly sprung in Caerphilly County Borough, and we’re keeping things going strong with the Bargoed May Fair on Saturday 4th May! With a range of stalls populated with incredible small businesses, exciting entertainment and fantastic funfair rides, the Bargoed May Fair promises to give Bargoed a big bloomin’ boost! So come along for a day of fun-filled festivities and an opportunity to support the town, the high street and local businesses!

SHOW EVENT PACKAGES
Our Show Event Packages consist of multiple performers, in costume attending your venue and spending the event duration interacting with the public, setting quests for children, encouraging the public to join in with dance contests, meet and greets and photo opportunities! These packages include a uniquely designed show where the characters act out a short sketch to really get your guests engaged and feeling like they have had a real experience. These shows are repeated throughout the day and are a real hit with children and adults alike!
MEET & GREET PACKAGES
Make your events special with our MEET & GREET PACKAGES, where you can arrange meet and greets with our real life Superheroes! We have a wide range of characters from various different genres to really bring your event to life. HALLOWEEN SCARE RUN
Our Halloween events are a roaring success. We have been visited by national news teams due to the momentum and word of mouth that our events generate with the public! As a result our Halloween events boast a very high footfall and are therefore a very worthwhile addition to event calendars. Our team use fencing and cleverly dressed sets to immerse the customer in a nightmare-ish setting. Our costumed actors then bring the haunting to life to achieve maximum scares! Or if there are small children present, the actors will scale back their menacing behaviour and retreat. We have characters dotted around the event areas too to create a sense of adventure at every turn.
CHRISTMAS EXPERIENCE
You cannot help but feel fantastically festive when you meet our costumed characters for Christmas! Our team will build a bespoke ‘Christmas Village’ dressed to a beautiful standard and position our team throughout the setting to engage with the public, take pictures and generally spread festive cheer. The Grinch, unlike the others, will not spread festive cheer but ask children how large their tree is so that he can post it through their letterbox in pieces or shout after them to let Santa know he hates him! Every hour, there will be a magical elf and Santa show, where our trustee elves will sing a bespoke song, hold dance contests, and enchant children with ‘Christmas Wishes’ in the form of bubbles. Mrs Clause will be on hand to hand out chocolates or sweets to each child and tell them a Christmas limerick or story. Our singing princess Elf will encourage families to have a go at karaoke and make memories to cherish before they head off to meet St. Nicholas and listen to his tale of the origin of Christmas! Each and every visitor, adult or child will leave your event full of Christmas spirit and reeling about the incredible experience.

EVENT CONSULTANCY & COORDINATION
Professional assistance in organizing and managing all aspects of your event regardless of the size or scope. Our team will engage with you to determine the type of atmosphere you wish to create and then design, plan and deliver the event from start to finish. This package includes co-ordination of multiple elements of the event including sub contractors/ vendors, liaison with the appropriate council/ governing organisation, co-ordination of insurance and traffic management/ evacuation processes. All in all, your organisation can be as involved as you wish to be with our team providing a stress free, bespoke event that fits in to your venue and gives a magical experience to your guests.
SCHOOL WORKSHOPS & VISITS
Our actors have vast experience delivering educational sessions to Early Years pupils up to KS2. Our educational workshops are designed around the curriculum in Wales, with specific objectives and development points to ensure that our sessions are as beneficial scholastically as they are fun. We offer a wide range of products to suit most budgets and can tailor sessions around the needs of your service for a bespoke experience if required. Our Creative Director
Our Creative Director is an internationally renowned Welsh Actor, best known for his portrayals of characters in productions such as Game of Thrones, Davinci’s Demons, The Musketeers, Soldier Soldier and many more. Ross has spent the last 14 years, managing family attractions in South Wales and has vast experience in managing commercial events and day to day running of attractions. Ross is responsible for managing our team of actors and the general management of events on the day but more importantly is the creative mind behind the events themselves. Ross designs all event packages from start to finish and has a real talent for capturing the public’s imagination with his vision.
Our Actors
Our Actors are the foundation upon which our success and business model is built. Each one of our team understands that to create a successful event or interaction, the key element is making children (and their adults) smile. Interaction and immersion into the world we are creating, even if it is just for a few minutes, can take the public on a journey and give a sense of adventure – it is the skill to enable and create these opportunities that our team have spent years honing. It is these skills that can take a 2D occasion to 4D and therefore add flare and that wow-factor to any event.

Our Business Team
Our business team have a wealth of experience in both performing and delivering behind the scenes as well as acute experience in business management. Our Business Manager David is responsible for delivering the event and managing the technical elements on the day. His experience lies with delivering large scale events, welcoming upwards of 13,00 people a day as well as performing as an actor in a range of settings. Our Client Relations Manager Victoria has vast knowledge of business management and procurement management across all three sectors as well as experience in delivering services at commercial events and managing all simultaneously. She is responsible for the organisation of event elements and generation of new business for the company.
